Not to pile on - but they trained us (DB) a little while ago when they were racing Aftermath for Vindi. Not the best angle, but you can make out us getting gibbed in the right arena as the train goes by.
Yea, if you'd had gotten low lv aggro you would have gotten all of those mobs. Someone ripped that is the more plausible explantion. You got a total of 2 mobs it seems which didn't "wipe" you.

Also, love the AG Bull in China closet comment from AM, that was pretty rich.

Fighting 2 dragons at once is just hardmode maybe it will give more loot!
