Oh also have tron and IOTA on another exchange

I also currently mine the shield coin at about 120k a year in mining alone without appreciating. I'm litterally going to make a few million over this year of 2018
Great coins. No Joke. I just bought four mining rigs 9 1080tis each.

Don't forget to tune the GPU power limit if that's the first time you mine stuff with GPUs. It's a game changer.

yeah MSI afterburner you can tone down gpu power cost as low as 69% power usage and be fine IMO. I typically cut power to 75% power usage and it cuts my mining by about 0.7% at 25% less power. Memory intensive coins like Etherium you can mine at 69% power and overclock memory by about 15-20%. use less power and mine 15-20% more coins. quite a game changer

4 mining rigs at 9 1080 ti's each, thats like almost 3 times the mining power i have. if you mined the shield coin with me you would be making about 500 dollars per day in daily value without letting it appreciate. its one of the best coins to mine right now. If you find something better let me know. I see a big future in the zilliqa coin. Once mining opens for that im jumping right in.

if you plan to hodl then don't store your stuff online.

avoid using generic hardware wallets, they are proun to attack and have a huge mark on their back because everyone has them, you're more secure using a regular usb drive with a couple of different obscure ways to encrypt the content, there's some security is obscurity as well because if the attacker doesn't know what they are dealing with things become a lot more difficult to break.

regular usb drive 1gb+

encrypt several of times using different tools like this:

first encryption layer bitlocker with 16+ character password
second encryption layer veracrypt sha512 16+ character password
third encryption layer truecrypt with different encryption algorithm.
fourth the wallet password... (electrum)

(unique long passwords for each)

remember to keep your seed hidden and safe, even if your usb keys are stolen you can always regain access to your wallet as long as you have the seed, but same goes if someone steals your seed they can take your bitcoin.

store seed preferably on a piece of paper somewhere hidden, perhaps in a encrypted password manager such a keepass on a encrypted usb drive, but key is to keep things offline to minimize any risk for anything happening.

don't get mtgox'd

very good points smedy I've been recently taking my money out of the exchanges because im growing to a point where its a concern to me. I recently made a few electrum wallets and have the seeds saved to a single USB. I will expand the security as time goes by but this is critical for sure. Might have some questions for you down the line...

Are you saying the train is about to derail? If not, then they haven't really missed it yet have they?

Scams need to rely on constantly peddling the fear of "missing out" to lure suckers in.
