Sorry but no, if this isn't some bullshit caster's paradise server and melee do normal damage, it will look like the following.

(255str / 200 2hs) / 100 = 95.55 + 2h damage bonus

= somewhere around 110-120 max hit with 255str

Monk max hit is something like 72-74 with 255str but monks can't get their str that high.

Damage = DMod*Damage+DB
DB = (50-25)/3 = 8
DMod = (WS+STR-75)/100

So at 175 str, max hit w/ Mith 2h = 3*21+8 = 71
200 Str = 3.25*21+8 = 76
225 = 3.5*21+8 = 81
250 = 86

Granted none of this matters if you are rooted. There's no counter to being rooted.

Where in the world did you get this formula from? I've never seen anyone try to claim the max hit formula had a -75 in it anywhere. During Kunark on EQ live with a 14/28 weapon in the offhand of my troll warrior with 255str, I remember being able to hit for 70 with it. Using your formula, he only would have been able to hit for 60.2

Are you sure this formula you posted hasn't been extrapolated from a caster or hybrid or something.

The formula might have been different for EQ Classic and Kunark.

I just remember doing sebillis for months in kunark as a troll warrior with 255str using a 9/18 mainhand and 14/28 offhand. Using your formula, my mainhand would have been 49.7 max hit and offhand would be 60.2 max hit.

Even though the 14 damage weapon was in the offhand, it would get substantially higher hits than the 9dmg mainhand weapon. It definitely didn't cap at 60. I remember being able to hit for 70 or so with it. I'm 99% sure the formula you posted is wrong, at least for Kunark era.

My formula of 70.7 offhand sounds much more accurate. I actually think it maxed out at 72.
