I know more than you think. I also know that pet damage was buffed in/after Luclin so the values you see on those forums aren't what they were in the old days.

Is this just as credible a source? It was linked to from the site you provided for the other chart and is dated before luclin. If you check under spells and click on any of the different pets he lists the different max values for the GV pets and suggests at least earth and air were capable of hitting for 70.

Leavin the wrong stuff up, I realized he just mentions the spells, not the actual pets at all.

It's talking about the Earth root spell, it's a copy paste from EQCaster.

I linked to another post from just after Kunark release showing these pet damage numbers were classic:

For future reference, mage/necro pets were buffed in the May 9th, 2002 patch in Luclin:

MAY 9, 2002

* Addressed a balance issue with high end Magician and Necromancer pets by improving them. (Half of this change went live last night but was missed in the previous patch message.)

This is when high end mage/necro pets had their max hits raised into the 70s.

That mage pets were hitting for this much on P99 was some Luclin leaking into the server.
