I'm not disputing the Good the Bad and the Ugly is a good movie, but it is sOOO slow and long isn't it? like unwatchable without mushrooms or acid

Ideally you are supposed to be at least a six pack deep and chain smoking reds while you watch it. It’s all about the slow build up, watching a mundane scene lead to violence. It helps if you grew up with an “old school” no-nonsense father figure; the moments of strange tension are almost nostalgic then.
That is my least favorite of those three films that Zoggren suggested though. The early Troma films hold a special place in my heart, and everybody needs to watch Pink Flamingos at least one time. I also agree with you that people who love films need to sit through at least one Jodorowsky. | ||
