Angry FV bug merchant/bank?

Today i logged into FV on my ranger and noticed a bug or possibly a rollback, last night after vendoring and banking after CoM once i hit lvl 50, i had almost 3.4k in bank, i went to ec and bought call of earth spell for 100, went to FV and logged, today i log in to buy food/drink and arrows, i withdraw 274p, leaving exactly 3k in the bank, i got to the ranger merchants and buy+craft arrows down to 24p, then i went back to the bank and pull out a firerune brand sword, and headed back to the ranger merchant to sell it bringing my total up to 58p on me, i go back to the bank to deposit and it now says i have 2899p in my bank (before depositing the 58p), i alt tab open task manager and close the game, log back in get direct x watchdog error, close and log back in, still says 2899 in bank, what the hell is going on?

I hate to be that guy but - Occam's Razor. What's more likely - bits got corrupted in transit in just the right way, or your recall of the details is slightly off?

It's good that you posted though! If there is/were an issue we'd see it blowing up on the forums, and having a log of past incidents (should it come up in the future) is beneficial.

One "not a bug" to be aware of though - if you're buying/selling multiples of the same item (possibly withdrawing coin as well?) by mashing buttons you will lose items/coin as that used to be exploitable but now those "floods" are disregarded/discarded to prevent exploitation.

*Edit* If you are worked up about it though - rest assured all the transactions the server is aware of are logged. Post in the petition forum, and maybe you'll get lucky and a staff member will investigate. However, due to the extent of the "damages" I wouldn't get my hopes up unless we see further questionable bank activity mentioned.

Oh yeah, and what's with all the people killing the game via task manager? Log out correctly if you really care about what's on your toons. Maybe your LD char decided to hand a random NPC 101pp ?

After posting this i figured it must have been a corrupted packet, or possibly an error in the sql database as character data, etc., transitioned on request from the server, since i could not reproduce this problem again.
I closed the game to begin a new login session incase that previous connection was a root cause of the error either with the game or through my isp switching center. this was the first and only time i have seen this happen.
i have no intention of trying to get it back it's small potatos, and i already made that back with interest within half an hour.

thank you for your help and insight [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
