Miscellaneous: Shrunken Goblin Skull Earring No Longer Dropping

I spent a little over 8 hours farming for an earring. My pet has killed 38 Grachnist and I had slain 5. I have had 3 Totems of the Warrior Spirit drop that are Ultra rare, a handful of whips, a few skulls, even some belt I've never seen before, but never an earring. I have spoken with other people who have been camping it, and they have not seen one recently, either. Can we have this checked that it is still dropping?

Yeah you can have bad luck streaks on Grachnist the Destroyer. I have had a streak at least that long (on Blue). Generally speaking the earring is pretty rare, and it generally takes me multiple tries of a few hours camping it to get one. Best luck I had was 3 in 3 or 4 hours.

I went 2 days month ago trying to get the shadowed book off the shadow men. (16 hours) killing a group of 4 that spawns every 6 mins...
I complained in guild and someone literally went to a group in another zone and got one.

The problem with this is that mobs are not the same across zones. The shadow men in the zone you were in may have been bugged to not drop the book, but the those in other zones may have been fine. I cannot go to another zone to find another Grachnist.

Adding to my list of bad luck. 48 Grachnist kills so far and no earring. First one took 15 minutes to spawn, so only about an hour of murdering tonight.

I was trying to figure out what determines the classification of an item drop, i.e. common, rare, ultra-rare. The wiki page for Grachnist implies 5% drop rate is ultra-rare. I'll need more Grachnist kills to get a bigger sample size. The Grachnist wiki page indicates a sample size of 65.

P1999's random number generator is notoriously streak-prone. This type of thing happens. From my own side, over the course of hundreds of grachnist kills since 2014ish, I've never seen the totem even once.

Same actually. I don't believe I have ever gotten 1 totem, even though I have gotten at least 10 earrings.

This was true a few years ago, but since then the shadowed men loot has been standardized across all zones.

I got on today and finally had an earring drop. It was on a spawn outside of the big goblin fort. Killed a couple more after that in the big goblin fort, but only dropped more gloves. At least the streak is over.
