Try deleting or renaming your character log files. I know skarlorn was having an issue with fps due to log files that were even less than 5mb at one point.

Generally they're in the base EQ directory in the folder named Logs.

Make sure nothing like windows defender is running, and if it is either shut it down or make an exception for p99 folder,
it will constantly scan your entire eq folder non stop making EQ lag, lags out live servers and P99 servers

Also try what baler said but turning logs off, so do a /log off and if that fixes it, then your just working with a log issue.

Also when your running EQ, and your go into your task manager, is your CPU or GPU maxing out? That will tell you how your CPU and GPU are running, P99 should not even come close to maxing out either but its a good way to check to see if there is an issue with either.

Looks like the CPU jumps way up. goes from about 25% to well north of 70 to over 80% in game. Any ideas why?
