So you think all Leftists are Collectivists.

Guess what Nazism is? Right wing collectivism.

So by your logic, all Leftists are Nazis.

Yes. He said he doesn't agree with Republican positions. And doesn't want corporations to regulate speech (A Democratic and Republican position).

I think -- using my familiarity with politics and the limited exposure I've had with the guy -- that he is a libertarian. He is only left in the sense that he's not authoritarian -- but that is a common rightwing position: Rand Paul, Alex Jones etc.

Pretty sure he believes in private property, individual "economic freedom", shit like that.

Leftists believe in private property and economic freedom.

Not all Leftists are Socialists or Communists.

Economic Freedom is a rightwing idea:

Quote:
economic freedom

The freedom to prosper within a country without intervention from a government or economic authority. Individuals are free to secure and protect his/her human resources, labor and private property. Economic freedom is common in capitalist economies and must incorporate other civil liberties to be deemed as truly free.

You don't have to want to abolish private property to be a leftest...but I would say its pretty obvious that the left curves the power of private ownership of "property" where as the right is more likely to defend it.

You're both individualist, liberal, leftists who support a capitalist system.

Sorry, guys. But you really shouldn't hate yourselves.

Nice quote, you expect me to believe leftists want the government to stomp on people for trying to open a business or buy land?

Maybe in San Francisco, but the majority of the Left aren't completely insane.

ya private ownership isn't a leftwing economic idea. you're describing market liberalism and shrieking about Commies. its both confusing and arousing

Well on the business I have no problems with that...but buying shitloads of land and then charging people "rent" maybe should be looked at. At least, maybe in the misty future. You don't get to build human civilization from the ground up, you have to work with what we got. So eliminating land barons is probably not in the cards any time soon.
