Canni spam question
Ok, so i did the math, and it looks like both Canni 1 and Canni 2 have much better hp/mana ratios than canni 3. Just wondering which 2 most shaman spam. is there any reason to use canni 3 at all?

Cus you're a boss and you want more mana and don't care about the ratio because you're a boss.

A Shaman can convert their own HP to Mana using various Cannibalize spells; the theoretical best conversion ratio being 1.60 (Cannibalize II @ Level 38) hp:mana:
Cannibalize I (LVL 24): consume 50 hp, gain 19-30 Mana (conversion ratio is 1.66 to 2.63 hp:mana) Cannibalize II (LVL 38): consume 67 hp, gain 30-42 Mana (conversion ratio is 1.60 to 2.23 hp:mana) Cannibalize III (LVL 54): consume 100 hp, gain 39-47 Mana (conversion ratio is 2.13 to 2.56 hp:mana) Cannibalize IV (LVL 58): consume 148 hp, gain 81-82 Mana (conversion ratio is 1.80 to 1.83 hp:mana) Source: http://wiki.project1999.com/Shaman I have heard Canni 2 is best ratio, but canni 3 has best return. So it boils down to medding vs quick mana, plus torpor ends the discussion outright.

High-level Shamans, especially those who have Torpor, aren't limited by their hit points so much as they're limited by TIME. You can only cast so many spells so quickly. Canni3 gives you more mana more quickly, so it gets used; the loss of conversion efficiency doesn't particularly matter.
Even prior to level 60--hence lacking Torpor--giving up a modest amount of efficiency in return for pressing the blasted cannibalize hotkey less often tends to feel like a pretty good trade. Danth | ||
