Question Monk Earrings for group content

Hello all,

My Monk is 56 and has (2) Hammered Golden Loop (1) Earring of Essence (1) Black Sapphire Electrum Earring.

I find I’m pretty much pulling or tanking group content and was wondering what the best overall combination would be for this.

Losing AC from old earrings and the -AC off 2 HGL’s scares me…

Thanks in advance!

The minus AC makes me nervous if I am tanking. I personally go with Earring of Essence / Pearly Sarnak Bauble

A little AC loss aint a thing.

HGLs are too good not to use.

The AC loss in group content is insurmountable.

@ Level 56 - EoE + BSEE AC 985, HP 1981, MR 90 // HGL (x2) AC 936, HP 2123, MR 90 // HGL + EoE AC 959, HP 2050, MR 95 (All self buffed) group content will be my primary style of play for sure, what would you do?

definitely don't use loops for group content, your ac means the most against dark blue cons and the least against red cons that are going to hit you for max most of the time anyways

imo the difference is very marginal but since you asked

do you have a cleric in grp? if yes then max hp>all to take advantage of ch efficiency if no and you are relying on druid/sham heals then max ac is better because you will always be less then 100% hp and regening therefore the less damage you take the better.

Is there an optimal mark to hit for a Monks AC? The extra HP from HGL will bolster Mend too right. Hmmm this is tough, hmmm maybe it is just a cleric on < other priests off OR keep weight in check (mines always running over) and HGL’s ON [You must be logged in to view images. Every mob has it’s own tipping point for worn AC depending on it’s own ATK.

Furthermore AC only works against the random part of a mob’s hit damage. Against mobs with a large base damage and small random intervals AC is worth much less.

What group content do you intend to do?
