not one school shooting happened by someone who was 18 and bought their gun themselves.

There was one school shooting where an 19 year old, his gun was purchased by his parents.

Sorry this is not reasonable, it wont stop any mass shooting.

the only way you can consider this "rational" is if you are hunting to case by case, day by day, at one point BAN GUNS.

So you'll move your goalpist to strike down the second amendment and our right to bear arms.

How about mandatory gun insurance as with an automobile.

It would create jobs, insurers could mandate concealed carry licenses or state issued licenses which would require education given to those to be insured. It would create a system of checks in the private sector without expanding government, and have no infringement on the second amendment. Any potential registries that could or would be established by private companies could be limited within the language of a law, would be required to only divulge such information if in the instance of a crime or criminal investigation.

You guys should start your own country with fewer freedoms, hate speech laws, a larger cradle to grave government, enforcement of quotas, and equality of outcome where everyone is terrified of expressing themselves. Comedy is probably outlawed.
