Lute vs Drums
I'm in the position to be able to buy a Lute of the Howler, or Selo's Drum of the March. I have the Gypsy Lute and Walrus Skin Drum, both of which are 1 instrument mod below the upgrade.
Which one is worth spending money on, and why? Don't have enough for both. Thanks !

Lute of the howler lets you turn into a werewolf right? That's a win in my book

I got myself Lute of the howler even though I can't use the clicky yet and I absolutely love it.
Having to only switch out 1 wep instead of two to add in the modifier for my strings has been so nice. I originally only bought the lute for werewolf but until I hit 40 I am really enjoying its utility. Selo's is still only secondary so I wouldn't spend the plat on it as I personally don't find it that much of an improvement.

Agreed with Sarkhan: the real benefit of Lute of the Howler is that it is main hand. For XP grouping, especially when I'm pulling Seb or aggro tanking, I use Rune song all the time, and I usually twist in hp/mana regen. It's great to be able to keep an offhand stat stick for lulling, and to just swap in a main hand weapon as needed.
Selos Drum is a huge benefit for soloing by dotting, but the Walrus drum isn't much worse. If you join a raid guild you will get a Selos drum for like nothing, but you still need to force people to group with you in Velks to get the howler lute.
