I'm going to give it another try someone at work convinced me. Saw two episodes of the first season when it originally came out, and there was zero action. He said the other seasons were much better, and that I didn't wait long enough for the first season to improve. I personally love the genre so hope I can enjoy it.

clark, do yourself a favor and watch the first season (10 eps). if you like the genre, i would be shocked if you didnt like it. you gotta remember this story is over 7000 pages long. watching the first two episodes is like reading the first couple chapters and declaring the rest of the book, and the following books garbage. AND they had to reshoot the pilot mid way through because they recasted daenarys and catelyn starkafter filming the first pilot.

I tried doing the typical multi task watching first time I watched GoT and had no idea what was happening. Watched if a second time without the iPhone out and the rest is history.

i think that the show is too slow and needs more battles. personally, braveheart is a much better movie than this one.
