Oh I like rag. He started off 300-450 but made an epic turn and learned how to play. We didn’t see that growth from fatso, but man he is strong on the boards tho right? Lol

Tassador played one of the many, many, many, many Wizards on r99. He quit not long after velious launched because wizards got weakened by people going from 3k hp to 6k hp and having 150-200 resist cr/fr/mr which resulted having to rely on the heavy mana costs of lure - his wizard was not very well equipt so his mana pool was small resulting in him probably not even able to lure down a melee anymore.

He bought into the idea he was a really good pvper (like alot of wizards did) because he could cast lure on someone who was 10-15-20% hp and score a YT.

There was some talk about him having a MM sk twink but he was really bad on it and actually died on his twink a number of times in MM. He could never translate his "skill" to a melee. Unlike people for example Blueflower and Beastagor who could transition from a caster to melee and retain their capacities.

This broke him from what I understand, because ultimately he was just another wizard pressing Lure hoping to get a kill shot.

After quiting he spent the last 5 years of his life ghosting on the forums trying to be recognised for the 60? 70? Kills he got on a wizard.

If you were to rank the wizards on red99 in terms of life time k/ds Tassador would barely make the top 30 to put it into perspective i.e. why no one remembers him.

Like I have said all along he is the Tune of the forums.
Bump this.

Keep it bumping. I guess the RoZ guys will be back when 3.0 or whatever comes out. The rest of the weebs will continue to farm an empty box.

RoZ population kind of split. There is 1 group just farming velious and probably soon luclin. Another group is still on 1.0 farming luclin now. The majority are done because the competitive PvP died down about a week ago. 2.0 could possibly have a small comeback, but the number 2 guild just quit last week so it is a dead spot for sure. A new guild could start back up but it probably won't be like it was.

Everyone should hit up 3.0 when it starts though. Both seasons have been a lot of fun and everyone that gives it a try says they enjoy the server more than red99. So far the competitive pvp has only lasted 7-10 months though. Your chars are never deleted and if you want to enjoy the PvE it is always there, but as far as 2+ guilds fighting over stuff every week it usually starts to die during Velious-Luclin timeline. The devs are starting to throw around ideas to fix that but who knows, it might just be a problem with the real PvPers not liking Velious+ and only the PvE minded players sticking around. Velious+ is pretty raid intensive to where classic-kunark doesn't require much.

The next season is also going to launch on a new client that looks and plays much better than titanium so people that haven't tried that out should at least log in to check it out and see if they like it.

R99 pvp "records" are about as meaningless as pro boxing records.

My first pvp eq character was a mage on r99 and I had no idea what to do (still don't). Hadn't played eq at all since 2002 too. Still managed something like 70-4 according to the tracker. Avoid stronger opponents and you'll have a great record.

Just like Mayweather.

Loma is like 20-1 but is so much better IMO. It's all about who you fight.

All 3 guilds quit within a week of each other.
