That's why I like to play multiplayer games because grinding is fun and ranking up also. You can build your character, inventory, rank or whatever. But when I played MWII grinding for camos I realized there's gonna be a new call of duty, potentially MWIII in November 2023 and this current MWII is gonna be obsolete. I also got bored of playing cs:go and guild wars 2 so I searched for the best old mmos and I came up with guild wars 2, oldschool runescape, Tibia, Ultima Outlands, and EverQuest Project 1999.

Now I peaked at all the games I just mentioned and I came to the conclusion that I don't want to click things in runescape for 99 stats so Project 1999 is indeed the best mmo ever made. It's just more fun than all the other mmos. I made a Barbarian Shaman and am level 5 and a friendly player ported me to Freeport. I just wanted to ask you guys, let's say I'm 26 years old and I want to spend my time on one or two games only and when I'm old I can still play those games.

Mmos are unfortunately designed like online casinos instead of world sims.

That rot has infested velious aswell and veeshans peek.

Massive online games that cater to a wide audience are expensive to produce and we live in a capitalism. So until one guy with the disposable income and passion for world building can release an mmo without corporate sponsorship. You are going to be out of luck unless you just want to donate another yacht to a foreign multinational.

Your best bet would be to get into art and level design. Maybe load up Q3radiant and screw around and learn what it takes to make a zone like guk or sola. Or even just a cool city zone like Qeynos or highpass.

It's really hard and time consuming. You need a singular vision and level of obsession that means you are insane. In a way that typically prohibits you from actually being a functional and independent adult. That is why everything is being procedurally generated these days by big corps its much cheaper and you can trashcan your employees if they take to long or want value.

Hopefully this helps.

G-d bless.

And seek christ.

Video games are just a panacea.

Guild Wars 2 is good at getting you addicted for 2 months and spending $50, then you realize its target audience is middle/late aged women.
