Noisy new laptop
Hi guys, I just bought a new 2 in 1 laptop. An HP Pavillion with very low specs. It has about 4gb RAM. My laptop has 1920 x 1080 display. When I play the game the fan is going crazy in windowed mode. I lowered the resolution to 1260 x 768 or something and lowered all the in game menus to near and low. I also downloaded the low res textures for the game but the fan is still loud.
I am wondering what I can do to have the game playable and the fan not going crazy. A week ago I was playing the game on full screen at 1920 x 1080 and the fan was as quiet as a mouse. Any help would be appreciated!

Do you know what your system tempatures are when the fan is not noisy and when it is noisy?
You can use hwmonitor to check, if your hardware has temperature chips. https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html --edit-- There may be third party software to control the fan speed. But if your laptop gets too hot it may crash. From what I'm reading hp laptops are pretty well known for running hot and having loud fans. There is also the issue of dust building up in them, but you said yours is new. I'm not sure there is much you can do to P99 titanium to help it. edit2 Quote:
