Honestly red states just need to be colonized. There will be no progress in this country as long as 400,000 people in Wyoming have the exact same amount of representation as 30 million Californians in an institution (the senate) that is capable of grinding the entire country to a halt. The senate originated as a compromise to get slave states to join the union and it has by far outlived its usefulness.

Democrats spent something like $6 billion on the 2020 election (republicans spent $8 billion). And for what? Honestly that money would go a lot farther simply paying families from California $100k to settle in Wyoming or South Dakota, helping solve the overpopulation problem in California in the process.

50,000 families would be enough to turn Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, or any number of these flyover states that should be territories.

Be careful what you wish for, you might just get half of what you want. Reason I mention this is several of my very blue friends have decided to retire to red states only to find out red states and the people there aren't the raving mouth breathing lunatics the media is making them out to be. Surprisingly those once blue friends are actually starting to swing a bit more to the red.
