What trick are you referring to?

If you open a trade window with heavy weight items or coin it will remove the weight from your character while the window is up (since the items are in trade, not in inventory) and you can move unencumbered until the trade window drops.

For those who this has happened to before, how do you go on? I want to keep playing but I just literally threw away all my hard earned plat from porting.
There’s no way I can bring myself to keep porting for 20-50 pp a pop knowing what I just lost.

Is the only logical thing to do is quit?

I wouldn't quit! But i understand that thought process. Literally tho a few good dice rolls at some cash camps and you'll be right back in business. Im super sorry tho! That sucks the big hard one.
