seems like an obvious thing to enable a reset mechanic after progression ends. there's nothing 'classic' about p99 players continuing to play the game after luclin would have launched, anyway. velious never lasted that long.

they could make it a turn-in quest where you need a number of no-drop quest items from velious raid bosses (like AoW / Vulak / Tunare) and once you collect enough you can hand them in to respawn the warders... and then they have a 1 month protection on them which prevents all 4 from dying, after which they can

make the number of items to respawn the warders (and enable 1 month protection) high enough that it takes a few months of securing AoW/Vulak/Tunare to reset them after wake

guilds would be invested in still securing the main bosses (either to reset the warders, or to prevent others from doing it), and once reset would be motivated to secure the tomb, but with a 1-month protection guarantees at least 3-4 cycles of warder loot per reset before it gets woken again

People enjoy EQ because of scarcity. It's a rare thing in MMO's these days. If that wasn't the case, P99 would have died a long time ago, since people would be playing easier MMO's like WoW, or even just TLP.
As much as it can be a feel bad to be a member of the don't got club, DSM is correct. The scarcity of things is what makes the dopamine hits bigger and more memorable.

Once raid token vendors became a thing in WoW, loot exclusivity was immediately watered down, people got geared up way faster, and a lot of people lost motivation to raid week after week because they would "finish" their character faster.

which is almost exclusively reserved for warder loot now which is a non issue for literally anyone normal. blue in the kunark era had everything including epics on lockdown.

just because you can do a thing doesn't mean you should. and they have slowly over time realized that, only thing left is to add warders to that list and 3 daily quakes per time zone and the conversion to casual theme park will be complete.

I'm not mad about it personally. I'm mad about what it and the behavior does to the community. Which basically destroyed it.

And the fact that its not at all classic.

If you got warder loot and sleeper you didn't earn it. It got handed to you on a platter. It's not the achievement you guys are saying it is.

Not until it takes thousands of man hours over several days to wake the sleeper.

Put sleeper back in. Total number of each item can’t change. So if a shroud drops, one of the existing ones just disappears.

Laugh when detoxx loses his sod’s, or diamond suddenly down 15hp in a PD robe. Etc.
