think about it. no, really, consider the ever absolute fuck out of this. a primal lance looking like a rusty dagger, a +20 breastplate of badass looking like a light green robe, tunare fist weapon animating like a punch but has a fighting baton dyed white.

rog/nil, take your time to make any combination of any raid gear look like shit. I know you have dyes at your fingertips. all kael gear not matching? fuck them. all bis ntov gear making you look like a saturday morning cartoon marching on the sunday morning cartoons?

All it would do is make shit graphic items like bloodpoint be worth megabucks for that NTOV geared elite look. People would find combinations of dookie armor that make them look scrub style just like the elite raiding maniacs that clock in 150 hours a week and have a custom total gym setup right parallel with the computer chair so they can stay fit while they do it.

Conversely though, if there was a -20 to all stats item with a unique graphic in or cosmetic enhancement but it was a hyper rare drop from some nearly unkillable mob you bet your ass that thing would be worth huge stacks of plat and the dopest elite guys would use it because their stats are so good they can afford negative 20 to all stats. Ultimate status symbol. Like a vanity cane.

In fact such an item should be exist and buyable from a vendor for 1 million plat as a means to combat platinum inflation, which is a real thing. On live they implemented casinos that had small chance of legacy items. On here they do blanket RMT bans to control plat numbers in the economy so I guess the platflation is not such a big deal.

They don't do RMT bans to control platflation. They do it because it's against server rules and their contract to run the server. Staff couldn't give 2 shits about the economy, which is just as well, as they shouldn't. The game isn't called EconomyQuest.
