Hardcore would be fun - quadruple the exp, increase chance of item drops, but make them all no drop. On death, if you reach a certain lvl, your corpse gets a little memorial tombstone above it and allows you to leave a witty comment until the corpse decays.

Edit: What would self found entail? No trades to others?

I wonder what the dynamics of a server would be on a no dro server, essentially a server with only no drop items, other than maybe tradeskilled items, or things like foraged items required for quests.

EQ is half the game it could have been if they were not rushing then fixing the game of bugs for the next year. EQ release was the beginning of games being rushed out and taking $$ from people to beta test it.

They should pick a handful of zones from planes of power and add those. The next expansion after velious should have always been an expansion of additional planes, since velious introduced two new planes it seemed to be trending in that direction anyway, but then instead we got... moon cats and weirdo sci-fi themes that don't mesh at all with the rest of the game world and lore.

Omit plane of knowledge entirely, because it's lame a shit to have a central hub that sucks everyone out of the rest of the world. But just adding the rest of the planes for the other gods makes more logical sense, and wouldn't even really be "custom" content per se.

Always love (hate) the argument that moon cats and aliens don't fit with EQ. Go take a look sometime at Kerra Island... the GM type npcs, all the tradeskill stations and the vendors, and try to tell me Kerrans weren't originally intended to be a playable race. Then go take a really good look at the Temple of Life in Qeynos. It's a flying saucer. And look up the concept art for Rodcet Nife. I'm using the Prima Guide from the Ruins of Kunark expansion. He's an alien. All of those ideas were in the game from day 1. There is nothing in the Luclin expansion that doesn't fit the game lore of EQ from the outset. Peace, and Merry Frostfell.

Would love pop raids at least a couple of them coming into Blue. Or AAs from luclin just to help fix some of the class issues the devs didn’t get to by velious.
