Spells: Spells unable to land on blue mobs

title says it all, the strange thing is im lvl 29 and just got new ones and they are being resisted.

plz dont tell me the best class in the game is bugged on this server like everything else.

oh god thats why there are like 2 wizards on the server they are bugged arent they ?

these mobs are regular blue con mobs and do not have any specific resistances (at least not listed).

between the targeting bug, where i have to quickly esc and retarget the mob while root is breaking etc the classes are just not balanced accordingly with these bugs in mind and wizard is just not a viable class on this bugged server.

which is probably why the population of wizards is so low on here.

Nope, wizards are not bugged. They're just a super mana dependent one sided class so no one plays them

Various different mobs. From what i remember about wizards. It seems pretty cut and dry to me. Full mana full HP, should be able to take it if its only a blue mob. If not then i picked the wrong class again and i will bow out.

From what it looks like on this server at end game (and i could be wrong) nobody plays wizards and the forum are filled with melee talking about how they can resist everything end game. haha [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] again not the wizard i remember. Dont get me wrong if thats the way it is, thats the way it is but it wont be balanced.

But i know if it its already happening at lvl 29 on a blue full hp / full mana then its not balanced at all and with the targeting bug where i sometimes have to esc out while casting / rooting / being resisted and retarget there are too many variables.

Another thing i notice is my root, or should i say enstill does not have a duration at all . It lands and i see yellow for break always immediately .

I didnt know i had to kill green con mobs to land spells successfully, my enstill spell will not work on anything at all though within say 5-10 lvls of me so every mob ive killed from 1-30 ive wizzy tanked because enstill wont land. Im currently playing wizard on green lvl 45 atm. I havnt noticed any resists too much on my spells. Even while quadding in OT i think i was a couple of levels lower maybe 41 , but i could snare 4 mobs without a single resist and nuke them down with hardly any resist at all. Maybe u need a few more lvls for the mob your fighting or they have higher resists i dunno. Also i have 198 Int not sure though if that matters.

If you're level 30, a level 29 mob is still likely to resist some spells, even though it's "blue." As a level 30, you should be able to reliably solo level 20-25 mobs or thereabouts. I think it's likely you're just getting unlucky, or perhaps you are used to easier mechanics such as EQ Live has. I have played multiple characters to 50+ and resist rates are suitably challenging for classic EQ.
