Question Windowed Mode is super dark

Hi there - I've read here that running fullscreen is not advised, however whenever I run in windowed mode the in-game graphics are super dark. If I hit alt-enter to full screen brightness/gamma corrects itself.

I'm on Windows 10.

Any help is appreciated

1) hit windows key/open start menu
2) type/search for 'gamma' - the result should be 'Calibrate display color'
3) Hit next 3 times
4) Adjust the gamma slider to your preference

no need to save or proceed from that point, then just close the calibrator when you're finished playing. it's annoying but it works.

When this happens to me I enable & disable 'Night light' and it works for some reason.

Do you have a third party color adjusting program? I was using f.lux and had to turn it off while EQ was running.

This was working for a while but now unfortunately when I try it just freezes my EQ client window & I have to restart [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

you can do it before you start the client. it's probably alt+tabbing that's freezing your client, not the calibrator
