Server Merge

So...

I played p99 a few years back. Got a few characters started with som good gear for levelling and descent levels. Don't remember if it was before the first merge of green/blue...don't even remember what server is was on.

Then I fell asleep. Didn't play for some time.

Went back and started again. My mistake was to start on a new server (green).

Thing is I just found out my old characters are still on blue and my new puppets are on green.

Since there is no way to transfer characters from green to blue -

Will a merge be coming any time soon, or was it one time thing?

Or do I have to decide on what server to play - indefinitely?

Any help is appreciated.

• Blue and Green have never merged before. Perhaps you were thinking of when Green was temporarily split into Green and Teal due to overpopulation, which were subsequently merged.
• We don’t know when Green and Blue will merge.
• We don’t know if Green and Blue will merge. When Green was announced, Rogean said it would eventually merge into Blue, but the staff have not publicly re-confirmed this since then. Some people believe, some people don’t.

I wouldn’t recommend making your decision of which server to play based on a potential future merge.

A few more questions, Videri:

Seeing as Green is Legacy - added content as time goes by (and I have no idea how far they are content-wise) and blue is stable as is up until Vellious;

What would you recommend me playing; I see more players active on green but blue is still mighty active.

Is green done, content-wise - and it's just the community catching up to blue?

I have characters at pre-teen up to lvl 30 on both servers, no twinks - what would you suggest/think would be my best journey through the game, as a returning player?

Hope you can help, and understand my train of thought.

Yes Green is at the end of the content timeline, and equivalent to Blue in that way. The patches are done, and even the Sleeper has awakened on both servers. Differences include (others have probably posted about this on these forums):
• population a bit higher on Green most of the time?
• many low-end items are cheaper on Blue due to proliferation
• idk, maybe some higher-end items are more expensive on Blue due to platinum inflation? Because it has been around for 13-14 years?
• different guilds exist on each

As for your decision, man…not sure I can say much. I guess it’s whether you prefer having access to the items you have on each server. I would say “pick the server with the vibe you prefer,” but how can you get to know the population of a whole server without playing it?

I haven’t played Blue in 4 years. I love Green - good raid guild dynamics right now - some players to level with, I often find a group on my alts - few true shitheads are around. Hopefully others share opinions. And I think you should search these forums for other similar threads.

Seems I started on blue and made way with some sweet toons with descent gear at late-teens.

Stopped playing, because of life.

Got back and for whatever reason started on green with a new batch of boys - and I liked it.

Then I fell out of the game again, once more - and just a few days ago started again - on green.

The guild I'm in on green (shout-out to Ancient Blood) is what a guild should be - helpful and just good people.

Going to lose some time, levels and gear going green but;
Green is the way to go.
