standing out in the open with your artillery guns is just dumb on any occasion, unless you maintain air superiority in a large radius. regardless of who does it, its a sound military strategy to hide your assets in urban areas.
people need to be careful and think twice when talking about what a "war crime" is or isn't. Trying to apply rules to war is a politician's arm chair game, the fact of the matter is that war itself is the breakdown and failure of all rules to begin with. In Putin's case, no matter what he does, he isn't coming back from this one way or the other. Should he manage to take all of Ukraine, he still isn't going to have a friend left in the world. The chinese are gonna stand there and sell stuff to russia, in the hopes that they will have 1 person in the world who agrees with their imperialistic moves in the future. For now, they aren't stupid, and they play the looonngg game. the 100 year game. If it comes out that chinese shells and bullets are in ukraine, thats gonna result in some other major problems, and they know it. Never assume your enemy is stupid or insane, even if they really are. Putin may or may not win the Ukrainian war, but he absolutely will not win the ideological war. He has to know this. So, its gonna get alot worse before it gets better, Alot worse. | ||
