Specialize?
Got a 29 cleric on blue about to lvl.Is there any reason not to specialize alteration?
Also this is my first caster. Does specialize only reduce mana cost and fizzle chance? Thanks. | ||

https://wiki.project1999.com/Cleric#Specialization
In short, there is no reason for any normal Cleric to specialize in anything except Alteration. I personally specialized my Cleric in Evocation, but that was just because I planned to solo him exclusively (and then, eventually, I planned to reset my specializations so that someday he would have Alteration). Also, I think specializations only reduce mana cost, not fizzle chance? But I could be wrong on that.

I believe you are correct Loramin, Specialization should only affect mana cost. Fizzle rate is determined by the spell skill itself and the level of the spell (higher level spells will fizzle more than lower level spells if you have a low spell skill).
