Rogean: Removed the client's ability to visually and arbitrarily cap certain skills. The server is now authority.
Here's to hoping Rogean can do the same for scribing speed.

This is not trivial. Scribe speed is attached to the rate at which it refreshes the UI. So completely altering the rate which the UI refreshes, when a spell is scribed is not easy. And then making it variable based on a skill?

I tried a few times. And it was a mess.

You have to remember, modifying memory is not trivial. It often takes hours and hours to attempt a small change, that may or may not do anything.

This is a hard one to alter.

I don’t think some of you understand how difficult some changes are to make.

Having tried this one a few times? No way am I looking at it again. 20 hrs to get nowhere? Not so much fun.

Especially when stuff that is figured out, like disabling mouse scroll zoom, cycle thru npc targets, are left in?

Spell scribe speed is not important. Not to me.

The die-hards appreciate your efforts on this one HPH, sorry to hear things didn't work out.

This part is hugely unfortunate. Both of these features make the game much easier for mediocre players.
