In John, Christ is called the Logos (Reason) as the first emanation of the Monad, who's syzygy is Sophia (Wisdom). The idea predates platonism and Hellenism as well. All hermetic philosophy and Zoroastrianism asserts that God is Mind (Nous) and that we are connected to it like Hyper-V instances on a server
