Default Cleric Hammer Pet

Hey, the cleric hammer pet is not a duration spell but rather an enchanter type spell when casted. The level 54 pet to be exact.

um huh? The cleric hammer pet is a single fight pet -- it dies as soon as the mob does. Er go, a useless piece of crap.

Yes, it is most definitely a duration spell, and even worse it will only attack the mob its first cast on, and after it will stand around until its duration is up.
Think of it as a unswerving hammer of faith that you're "throwing" at them, and if you kill them fast enough it will boomerang around and just do nothing until you "put it away"(it dies).

What he was trying to say is, He was able to summon the hammer. Not to go after as a single target. But Just like a enchanter pet, where it would just guard him and not poof.

No idea how he did this. Pretty sure he just summoned it without a target.

Yes, but this doesn't apply to what happened.

He summoned it, it hung out even when not being attacked or summoned to attack something.

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/s...tml?spell=1721

After reading up on it a bit i've determined spell should behave

Mob not targeted(and not getting hit):
Pet hangs out for 5 seconds, then despawns.

Mob targeted/getting hit:
Pet attacks the mob.
Pet goes away after the mob dies or it no longer has a target for 5 seconds

now the differing opinions
If you pick up another mob it will attack the new mob once original dies, or it will hang around after it kills the first one and despawn.

This is prolly up to uth to decide which works best/easiest.

NOTE: If nothing is targeted and you're not getting hit, this pet will do NOTHING, just stand around and despawn.

Default Cleric Pet and Agro Lists

The cleric pet will stick around until all mobs that have the cleric on their agro lists that are within a reasonable range have died or had their agro list cleared by a spell. If more mobs agro while the pet is alive, it will continue fighting for the cleric.

On live, I'd try to conserve mana by agroing a new mob when the one I was soloing was near death to keep the same hammer pet going.
