Wiki Fashion Categories Are Here!

It took me awhile, but I finally managed to add fashion categories to the wiki. Unfortunately these categories do not mean that wiki FashionQuest-ing is finished ... but it does mean we're a lot closer.

TLDR;
The wiki now has fashion categories on every (visible) item. Some of those categories have screenshots, but most don't so your help is needed.

How can I use the categories?
Let's say you're a Barbarian and you want to wear a bear hat (because they're awesome). So you inspect another Barbarian with a bear hat and see that they're wearing a Lumberjack's Cap, and you go to that wiki page.

At the bottom of the page there are now 1-2 new categories: a fashion appearance and (for some items) a fashion tint. The cap is nice and simple (there are no tinted bear hats) so it only has one category, Fashion: Leather. When you go to that page you see a list of every piece of armor with a "Leather" appearance, which means that you can wear any Head item on that list and know that you will have a bear head when you do (if you're a Barbarian at least).

If the cap had a tint things would be a little more complicated, because then you'd have to look for other items with the "Leather" appearance AND the appropriate tint category. This shouldn't be hard though, because most tint categories only have a few items in them.

I want to see all *head* leather items, not all leather items
Unfortunately while there is a MediaWiki extension to solve this (https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Exten...ategory_Search), our wiki is too old to use it. Someday I'd like to look into updating our wiki, but in the meantime you'll just have to mentally filter out the non-hats.

What if I want to see a screenshot of how an item would look?
Some fashion categories (like "Leather" above) do not have any screenshots yet. However I have begun to add screenshots where I can, so if you visit say Category:Fashion: Plate you will see screenshots of different genders/races wearing armor with the "plate" appearance.

Can I help add more?
YES!

If you'd like to help first take a screenshot of yourself wearing all or most of a certain style of armor. Next, use any image editing program (eg. GIMP) to change it from a .bmp to a .png (or .jpg) file.

Then, go to a fashion category page (for the armor you're wearing) and add code like the following:

|tint=Medium Purple

... except fill in the actual values. For the file name simply make up a name for your screenshot, and if your armor doesn't have a tint just leave that line off.

If there are already other screenshots in that category simply add yours afterwards, but leave off the:

{{FashionShowEnd}}

part (as the page will already have one, and it only needs one).

Once you save the page there will be some red text where your screenshot should be: click on it, and it will take you to a page where you can upload your screenshot.

I am an artist who works with paints on occasion, but this one stumped me so I had to look it up. Seance is violet: https://www.colorcombos.com/tags/colors/seance

God I've needed this so long. I have a web.archive.org bookmark to an old allakhazam page from around 2002 that I've been using but it's so incomplete and full of busted links and it has been a real pain.

Lucy only had the raw hex/RGB values for the colors, and "Fashion: #fe2525" doesn't make for a great category name. To get around this I used a library called color-namer which compared the colors against a library of color names (specifically NTC).

I do wish it had called it "Seance Purple" instead of just "Seance" [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] In theory anyone can fix it, as long as they don't mind editing every item in the "Seance" category.
