Let me repeat, Necro/Druid is straight garbage. I guess if you only want to live in Chardok 50+ it's super cool. If the Druid isn't charming animals, they basically have nothing to add to this. Ports? Who cares. Their heals won't do shit to unslowed necro summoned/charmed pets. One decent dot, a few nukes here and there? Lol, ok pal. Warrior/necro beats this by a longshot and it's not even close. Sure I suppose you can make anything work if you're set on playing a particular class, but I'm telling you what's good and what isn't OP. What you choose to do with it is up to you.

Druid/Enchanter would be 100x better, but I didn't state that as the OP has already played an Enchanter. Now that one excites me. You can both charm in animal zones, druids provides snare which Enc doesn't have, necessary patch heals to enchanter which is all they really need, and can even somewhat heal an enchanter charmed pet with c2 & slows.

The synergy is there. Both can invis. Both can summon pets, albeit the Druid one is in no way comparable to a Necromancer's. Druid can chloro the necro and patch heal, Necro can emergency lifetap on top of those heals. If there's a colossal train, Necro can FD and Druid can evac. Both can root/snare when pets break, plus SoW when outdoors. Charm is such a powerful spell; any class that has (even limited) access to it is in no way garbage.
Earthquake? Port to CS, succor across SG, track WW for Tantor. Can also port into South Ro and check on AC spawn. Jet over to Emerald Jungle, then zone into TT and do hunter/forager cycle together. A Warrior isn't needed for any of these targets. Also, if wanting to complete Coldain shawl and ring quests, Druids are a massive help just by having animal charm and harmony.

Obviously always play what you think you'll enjoy the most, I'm just telling you the facts on what the most powerful duo is based on the options you've provided.

I mean any competent necro is going to want to be charm killing undead.
How is a warrior more effective than a druid in this scenario? Not trying to argue, just genuinely curious. I've played druid / necro myself and found it to be quite strong. Not A-Tier, but the necro I was with did the heavy lifting and I just made his job super easy in HS West.

I'd go with wizard
Back in the day my gnome necro used to hang with a gnome wizard from the Legion of little people or some such guild, but we were a scarily effective duo.

I found ranger and necro partner up nicely on many levels. Late 50s it goes into overdrive when you can buff regen, the pets attack, proc slow, self haste decently etc.
My only hesitation is it sounds like you might not have access to epics or the sky cloak?

Jimjam that is correct. We are casual non-Raiders who use to raid. We farm pp for items now.

I agree that necro and druids have great synergy. Will you both be charming all the time? No. But regen is hugely OP on a necro, the dots will stack, sow is awesome, ports are awesome, heals are awesome, added DD when needed. I love me a druid partner on my necro!
