are you saying a full group of halflings shares a 30% bonus per every kill????

I'm not positive what exactly you think you're asking. When everyone has a 5% exp bonus, and it's shared, then everyone still has a 5% exp bonus. "Shared" doesn't mean "add it up and everyone gets the full amount."

so in a full group including one halfling, each kill yields a total of 105% exp split based on level and exp total of each group member? and then similarly, a full group with one hybrid will only be getting 60% of that potential 100%, should said group replace the hybrid with a non-mod character?

That’s not correct. Check the link posted by Tecmos Deception and you will notice that it’s not as bad as you think it is.
