Default Mobs not dropping items given to them

so today on r99 i tried giving mobs both plat, and trade-able gear, and then killing the mob. didn't even log to another toon, just killed it right after handing over the goods.

mobs didn't have anything that i gave [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

ex: give a beggar a splintering club, he wields the club, but when i kill him he has no club for me to loot back.

this wouldn't be too big of a deal (mostly just fun to put items on mobs to surprise ppl, or let generous players have a "find the lion with 5k plat on it" newb event) except giving plat and items to mobs is a good way to transfer gear between chars. give lewt->log onto other char->slay mob. it's better than dropping on the ground and hoping it doesn't disappear

I do remember banded armor being given to random mobs in gfay for newbies to find. I used to do that sort of thing myself. I'd like to see it enabled here.

It's a known issue - can't get items back given to a charmed pet either...

tried to search but couldnt find : (

also you should be able to place items in kilns/ovens/forges to transfer. if you put an item inside, it stayed there. here, i'm told the items just disappears
