I'm sorry for your loss. I haven't lost anyone I know but my heart is rent by the national callousness to 250k (will be 500k at minimum total) American deaths. We sold our entire way of life out gleefully for a single day's acts of terrorism on 3 airplanes, but we're not willing to evolve into a scientopia for 1000x the deaths. I'm genuinely sorry to hear that but I'm not sure how any of what I said makes me selfish. Obviously I don't want people to die, it's just exceedingly rare that a healthy person dies from this. Insisting that businesses go under and completely refusing to rethink these lockdown measures, which are now opposed even by the world health organization, could be called selfish too I think.
