Default Suggestions?

Hello my fellow tank friends!

So I am just now getting back into playing Project 1999 after a long while and I finally hit level 30! I do not have a ton of knowledge of the game and am seeking advice to better prepare myself for end game. I am curious as to if I am still okay with my current armor and weapon set up. If not what should I be looking forward too upgrading in the future? Should it be soon or do I still have a while?

I do not have a lot of plat to instantly up grade just looking for feed back and suggestions on my armor build.

I am currently a level 30 Wood Elf Warrior:
HP: 1062 (unbuffed)
AC: 632 (unbuffed)
ATK: 674 (unbuffed)
STR: 121 (unbuffed)

Primary: Sword of Skyfire
Secondary: Green Jade Broadsword

Helmet: Imbued Field Plate Helmet (Deity: Karana)
Face: Mask of Wurms
Chest: Imbued Field Breastplate
Arms: Imbued Field Vambraces
Belt: Purity Belt
Wrist: Imbued Field Bracer and Hero Bracer
Legs: Imbued Field Greaves
Hands: Dark Mail Gauntlets
Boots: Small Banded Boots
Neck: Small Banded Gorget
Back: Cloak of Leaves
Shoulders: Crested Spaulders
Fingers: Jagged Band and Silver Amber Ring

Appreciated,
Swifthin

Hey man, looks like you are progressing pretty well, that imbued cultural gear is pretty good but you should try to aim for the Koada'dal cultural set for woodie wars. A full set will cost you around 6k. It's really nice until you can start collecting thurgadin armor pieces.
https://wiki.project1999.com/Cultura...ills:_High_Elf

At level 30, dependent upon what your goals are as a warrior (whether you want to be the go-to tank in your groups or just another melee dps) your current set-up is inadequate if you hope to gain and maintain aggro. What you should first try to snag up if you want to start filling in you role as a main tank in your party is a cheap procing weapon that will proc for you at this level.
The bottom of the barrel is a tentacle whip from Najena, it's not the greatest ratio, but the proc will draw you some aggro, and you can weild one in both hands.
https://wiki.project1999.com/Tentacle_Whip

The next tier for you would be a pair of Wakisashi of the Frozen Sky. These proc at 20, have a harder DD and a better ratio. You can find them between 400 and 600 p in EC, or if you feel adventurous, head to Odus and do the quest with some friends. You can also wield two of these and the fashionquest value is top notch.
https://wiki.project1999.com/Wakizas...e_Frozen_Skies

The next tier would be the Venemous Axe of the Velium Brood. Avg price is about 1100p in ec, and it will be a great weapon up into your 50's. AC, decent ratio, great proc, and it can proc starting at level 1. I'd say shoot for one of these as soon as you can.
https://wiki.project1999.com/Venomou...e_Velium_Brood

Once you hit level 40, you have access to some cheaper weapons that have a great aggro proc, so you can re-adjust your gear situation at that point. The Ykeshan War Club is a perfect warrior aggro wep for only 100p. It's proc has an interrupt stun, which generates about 4x as much hate as any of the aforementioned weapons. I would suggest once you hit 40, switch out your wakisashi's for a venemous brood axe and a war club or just two war clubs and put the money towards some gear upgrades.

This is all with the premise that your goal is to be a tank and hold aggro. If you want to be a dps for fun or because angry raging neckbeards have no manners, snag up a couple Jade Maces or a staff of Battle. these are cheap and pretty effective damage for a long time. Either item runs at about 500p at the moment.
https://wiki.project1999.com/Jade_Mace
https://wiki.project1999.com/Staff_of_Battle

Your next step if you want to be a tank is to beef up your defenses. Focus on raw AC and HP, then some dexterity wherever possible to help improve your aggro. You can get a Glimmering Mithril Torque 15 ac 2 str for only about 200p and a pair of platinum fire wedding rings for around 500 (these are a must have!)
https://wiki.project1999.com/Glimmering_Mithril_Torque
https://wiki.project1999.com/Platinum_Fire_Wedding_Ring

After all of this, then you can focus on some haste upgrades. Schw are about 1500p and worth it.

Tl;dr: if you want to be a tank, get some aggro, then focus on getting tanky, then improve your damage output (haste). If you just want to dps, just focus on better ratio weps and then haste.

Awesome, I greatly appreciate the time and effort you all have put in to your posts on trying to help me out! I'll take everything into consideration moving forward. At least this gives me an idea along with a starting point to get a feel of late game warriors.

Thanks for all your kind help!

Orc Fang Earrings are cheap and give 15hps +3str. 100-200pp per.

Crustacean Shell Armor is great for STA and STR, it's fairly cheap too.

A really nice weapon is Silken Whip of Ensnaring 14/28, cheap 200pp.

Jarsath Trident 11/22, 100-200pp.

Fist of Zek 16/32, 300pp.

And a really, really nice weapon that is dirt cheap for the ratio is Staff of Battle, 2hb but 31/37, and it actually will hold decent aggro from 20-30. It hits really hard too.

You will find you need groups to work around the fact you lack proccing weapons to hold aggro, basically if someone can root they need to root the mobs you tanking. If you don't know already, when the mob is rooted it will hit the closest target so as tank you should be hugging the mob while dps like rogues/rangers etc., they should back off a bit.

Save up for a Frostbringer, it's 2.5k, and for a droppable weapon it's awesome for aggro. It procs at lvl 40. It's much cheaper than the WESS, but works great plus looks 100X better than a WESS.

If you want decent aggro weaps for cheap, look for the Ykesha proccing weapons like the club, sword, acid etched warsword, etc. The Ykesha proc is very nice for aggro and these weaps will proc at 35-37 lvl. They usually cost like 100pp-400pp.

As noted above get HP stuffs first, then Haste. SCHW are extremely cheap haste you can find them for 1.5k sometimes cheaper now! They give 22% haste.

Your next purchase should be haste.

SCHW 1.5-2k

Vs

FBSS 3-4K

All other upgrades can and should wait. 21% worn haste will do more for your dps and ability to hold threat than any weapon upgrades you could buy in that price range. More hp/AC/stats mean nothing if you aren't getting hit because you can't hold aggro.

Pinch your pennies and save up for a cheap haste item.
