Default Stonebrunt shouldn't be so empty

Went there with my 40 druid with a 42 necro and ran all the way to the top of the river and started pulling.

With ensnare, charm and terrorize animal we were pulling incessantly. At the time I was doing the Wakizashi of the Frozen Skies quest so I was biased toward pulling pandas and there was a TON of them up there.

Later on we got bored and pulled Giang Xing(sp?) the massive named panda. It took forever because he's immune to snare but he could be feared. And as you all well know, if a mob can be feared, anything is possible. He dropped his fairly crappy claws and some fur that can be exchanged for nice caster gear.

Good hunting spot!

It is a good hunting spot, but it requires a port to an island few people ever go to, and then running through several zones to get there. It's not overly convenient.

It can also be frustrating because:
- the drop rates are ridiculously low. Panda claws? Yeah, good luck.
- the named mobs like Giang are often perma-killed by level 50+s scouring the zone for them.
- the other popular quest other than the Wakizashi, is the one for the haste belt. Again, heretics don't always drop the heads you need; they're KOS to everything else in zone, so they die quickly; and you're not guaranteed the haste belt upon turn-in.

So, those who go there for the loot go away disappointed.

If, however, you go for the xp, it's not half-bad. Not enough people realize that yet.
But, then, see point #1 about convenience...

Solid summary. Went there with my druid in low thirtys when it first opened and spent a good amount of time charm killing. Got like 7 of those tiger pelts, only 1 panda claw ever. Probably killed 100 pandas. Said screw it and wanted a change of scenery.

It was a fun zone to charm-kill in, though.
