Default Screen freezing - help

Hello,

I am running a Lenovo Legion T5 with an Intel Core I5 2.90 GHz, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Windows 10.

The issue I am having is my screen will intermittently freeze. The character is still in game and moving about however I can not interact with anything.

The character is still accepting mouse inputs however nothing is drawing on the monitor.

If I minimize the window and bring it back up the screen will be completely dark and my only option is to end the task.

It seems to be a graphics card issue and I'm not sure what to do to fix the issue.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I had the exact same issue. I began using WinEQ and the problem went away.

hi ...

first at all .. you are not alone ... many players here have this screen freeze problem ...

i have this problem not anymore after some tunings i have done here on my 2 computers and one laptop.
perhaps this will help you too ?

-------------------------------------------

1. Serarch in the eq game directory for "eqclient.ini" and change this :

MultiPassLighting=FALSE
ShowDynamicLights=FALSE

2. Start the "eqgame.exe" in compatibility mode to Windows XP SP3 and as administrator.

I play in Windowmode.

################################################

I also have some other things done but this dont affect the freeze bug :

If you dont have 60 fps ingame try this :

Open the NVIDA-Systemcontrol and serarch for "eqgame.exe"
Change this parameter(s) :

Mode for low latency = ULTRA

I also change this too:
( vertical sync = ON , Max.fps = 60 , tripple buffering = ON )

i also use some changes here from the froum for Music and Sound and the Graphics :

Music
------
TriogyEMT installed
https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...&postcount=126

Sound
------
allsoundfixes (4 files) installed
https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...7&postcount=30

Graphics
----------
EQClassicHD installed
https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...ht=eqclassichd

good luck !
