Exclamation Crash upon zoning and can't see server list.

Yes we have installed the titanium client. Yes we have deleted all the necessary files. Nothing has ever once been wrong before.
We have encountered some issues where whenever we zone, we crash instantly. And when we attempt to login again, we cannot see the server list about 4 out of 10 login attempts. Everything is 100% installed correctly, nothing has been wrong before these last 2 weeks. Anyone else having these issues? And is there some fix?

I have the exact same issue except that I don't crash 100% of the time when I zone (more like 50% of the time). Were you just exaggerating or does zoning literally never work for you? Otherwise the rest is exactly how you described for me; only started happening recently and it's very annoying.

edit: I played an hour or so on the beta server today and the problem never resurfaced.. weird

I've had these problems when my internet connection was scetchy (like cellular internet) or nearly saturated (like when I was downloading something at the same time).

Default crash while zoning etc etc

iI have tried every fix from every forum posting in the bugs section for zoning tie ups, crashes, blank server selct screen, spell file recognition failure etc etc. There is 3 different threads in this forum dedicated to these issues. I never had one single problem untill the server population went above 500 people. Now since kunark is released population never is below 700. I've read the posts with people explaining the timeout and firewalls etc etc. anytime i have issues i can window out and do all the web browsing i want too with my cable connection. The only thing that has never been said and maybe its taboo is.... the server looses packets from its bandwidth being choked.

I have all my ports opened up. Nothing running in the background of my comp. and no loss of bandwidth on my end( DLing porn etc). and yet I still crash on zoning loading etc. I'm sure there are half a dozen reasons for whatever the problem is. None of them have worked. Maybe when the issue gets fixed ill be able to play this game. spending 20 mins trying to run from one end of freeport to the other is a waste of time

Had that a few times (2 or 3). It seems EQ messes up the network connection somehow - maybe blocking a port when it crashes. What helped for me: Disabling and re-Enabling the network connection.

Cheers,

I have had these type of problems only when on a low quality internet connection (like with my laptop tethered to my cell phone). Just because browsing seems to work OK doesn't mean that's not the problem. EQ doesn't mess up the network connection. I'm not surprised disabling and enabling the network connection works -- but that doesn't mean the problem is with EQ rather than the connection.

I am also having this type of issue. I just tried disabling my wifi, and reconnecting it. It didn't work...

I tried disconnecting the router for 30+ seconds, and that did work. At first I thought this only happened when I zoned to Swamp of No Hope... but its started happening when I am going to other zones too. =/ Without disconnecting the router... The chance of logging onto the zone seems low... and if it doesn't log on... the game just stops responding.

Actually now its even happening when I just try to load the zone... even after I was fighting in it a while...

go to eqhost and change port from 5999 to 5998! this is because the eqemu patcher will change the port if you have it set to SoD and running tit.

id just avoid the eqemu patcher all together until they get their S**t straight.
