It's crazy, it's like the one time I missed the raffle, I had been there leading up to 45 minutes before the raffle drawing occurred. I made the conscious decision to be like ya' know what, I'm not going to win anyways... so I left the stream open and went and watched the movie "Nobody" with my dad...

...today I was thinking about it, so I went and watched the saved video on Twitch and realized that I won the raffle, but wasn't there to claim it. I thought I was hearing things when I heard it.

The fact that I did win it though still feels good, and I think it's actually hilarious because I wanted to win that ring so bad so I can technically be married to Slizzlinette...

Sober and I just learned yesterday that I count as being self employed because my earnings from minings is so high :*( this whole time I thought I just had to pay capital gains tax on my crypto if/when I sold it in the future, but I found out that I actually have to pay income tax on each payout I get because I'm averaging over $800 a week :*(.

Apparently the magic number is $33.44 a day if you want to avoid paying income tax. I'm like 3x that :*(

Having to pay income tax on mining is fucking stupid, let's keep it real. Imagine if day traders paid income tax on every single trade they did, only to turn around and pay capital gains tax as well. You're paying tax twice, on top of what I consider to be already a tight margin... by the time you buy a GPU, and pay for electricity, it's to break even..

once the IRS gets involved, it essentially becomes impossible for the small guy to mine and make money, while not impacting the big wigs at all who have established businesses and avoid paying taxes through loopholes and tax deductions that normal guys like me arent even eligible for
