Exclamation Need help to get into playing p99

Hi all I'm having trouble getting the client to run past the first p 1999 screen, I click on Launch Titanium / it goes to the screen where I can click ok or cancel / I click ok and it does a ctd now I'm new to playing this server and the only technical info I have found is the target field on the properties for the launch titanium app it says the following.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\Launch Titanium.bat" what should I do to fix this? Any ideas

1. Move your install out of program files. This will save you future headaches.
2. Probably a resolution issue. The game is real finicky about what resolution you run it at. Start in windowed mode and a simple resolution like 1024x768 and work up from there. Eventually you'll find one you like that is also stable.
3. If you're on Windows 7 or 10 set compatibility mode on eqgame.exe to XP SP2 (or SP3).
4. If you have a "newer" graphics card you may want to look into dgvoodoo2 so the game can use that card instead of integrated graphics.

See: https://wiki.project1999.com/Tech_Support for other common issues.
