Can't edit a post after a certain time limit?

I made a thread in the Green and Teal forum with hopes of continuously updating the original post with edits. I was able to edit the post right after I made it but now I can't edit it.

Is there a time limit after which a post cannot be edited? Why?

I believe the time limit is 30 minutes

People abuse everything possible. We cant have nice things
