Spells: Mage AoE Spells (3 waves of X damage)

I've recently started using the AoE spell available to my mage, the current one being rain of swords which has the following description:

Conjures a rain of swords that assaults all creatures in the vicinity of your target, causing three waves of between 324 and @1 damage.

On the p99 mage wiki says hits targets with 3 waves (max 324 per wave)

At level 55 I then get a spell Sirocco which says a similar thing but (max 1890) not max per wave.

My interpretation of the Rain of Swords description is that it should do 3 waves of 324 damage at max so in total 972 damage which to me makes sense because at 55 I get one that does 1890 damage (the description when clicked on the link says 3 waves of 630, https://wiki.project1999.com/Sirocco )


Since I'm currently 54 I'm using the Rain of Swords and only getting one wave of 324 damage whilst using 375 mana. Is this a bug or have I misinterpreted the descriptions of the spells as they don't seem to be consistent?
