I think the biggest problem for me with the Chinese poster is: WHERE THE FUCK IS CHEWBACCA!

I prefer the Chinese poster personally. More people holding light sabers isn't as good as the space ships and things for variety.

From a marketing point of view there's not many blacks that'll be going to watch it in China, so no real need to emphasize the character on the main poster.

Zoom out further, how much advertising in the west these days is very careful to be multi-ethnic? These articles are why.

The last European company I can think of who uses just white kids in its ads is Kinder chocolate (emphasis usually on blonde hair and blue eyes)... so obviously they're Nazis and enjoy your Nazi chocolate eggs this christmas you KKK sympathizing mofo.
