So, if you fight one of the npcs on the list, you should expect either no loot or incorrect loot. These need researching, tables created and applied. Usually the way it works is there are many npcs with the same tables. Since this is a work in progress, I thought I would share some of the behind the scenes action.

No idea about the code but I can jump into the NPC loot tables and get a list together, with links. If anyone else is thinking about assisting in the above maybe we can split the list, that way we aren't doubling our efforts. If anyone is interested send me an a PM and we can work it out.

tiny, small, medium, large will drop, rarely. The type of bag that will drop depends on the level of npc.

Main thing to remember when you do this is to look for stuff before the big revamp in 2002. I have a few things scraped together at this point but it's pretty sparse and I'm waiting to find more/better info before I make a post.

when was the revamp? I've been looking and a lot of these mobs had little information on them even 6 months after the release of velious.

This staff dropped for our group last night. It came off a named cube (one of the lower level cubes that sit together behind Oct Velic... Ortho Velic or Polhidral Velic I believe are their names). As with most weapons that drop off cubes, you can see this thing sitting inside while you fight it. Granted it could be one of a few different staves but a tip-off that you are going to get this weapon to drop is if the cube you are fighting mysteriously has a fire dmg shield. i picked this up a couple of weeks ago in a wyvern grind in skyshrine. i've only seen it once, and i happened to be the only pure-caster in my small wyvern group. the stats are very nice...insane int, great saves, and a sprinkle of mana make the item gold. the damage shield is a novelty. hats off to whomever can actually justify the need / usefulness of the proc. the only time i ever actually attack anymore is during push formations on gating-mob raids. proc'ing a damage shield during that insanity is kinda cute. oh...and it makes farming bone chips more effecient or something. =P

They also drop 7wis 25mana earrings (Elder's Earring), so dont be stingy with yer love clerics...

if you are on kael faction get yer ass to skyshrine till you get one of these for your monk... They are basically the best monk greaves you can use till temple of veeshan, plane of mischief. Flayed paebala legs are great too but chances of yer monk getting those are way less than camping oiled greaves.

Basically find a nice wyvern spot you can handle and keep killing and killing till you get greaves. Maybe take a few days, but you'll get plenty of other stuff anyway.

I got mine off a named wyvern in SS that was level 58 and fortunately was only person in group that could use it, so I got it at 53. I think its a fairly common (relatively speaking) drop off mobs in Skyshrine that are 58+. What makes me think this is I have a screenshot of 2 of the 3 highest level cubes in SS with these spears in them at the same time. As anyone knows who has been there, the cubes show the loots before they are killed quite often. The screenshot was on Tunare server with the Uber level 60 Cleric Omniscience Holylight standing inside one of the cubes playing with the spear. Anyone with good faction in SS can go in and see what the cubes have to offer up and then try to get a raid together for the items. Good luck people, this spear is awesome

I earned this sword of a wyrvern, cant remeber the name sorry all call me stupid 8*) But this is one very outstanding sword! It has better attck/dly than a css aand its stats are great as well. I am proud to wield and will probably never sell it. My problem is the look, it looks like a regular fine steel long sword.

This weapon is dropped by a level 54 shimming cube in skyshine. I got lucky on the dice and won the roll. You have to go into the maze to find the cube.

O.K. here goes. This sword and it's sister blade (both happily weilded by me) dropped off a named Wyvern in Skyshrine near the bridge high above the "fountain" zone out point. They really compliment each other nicely but why on earth do they both look like fine steel weapons ? Shame Verant, with "fury" in their names you would think the model would be nice.

P.S. 2 of the Skyfury scimitar dropped on the same night for us, both off named wyvern (I don't think it matters which one)

This is not a Quest Item... I looted it two nights ago off of a Named Wyvern before the First telepad past the Grand Ramp hall (my own name for the area). Our group went of stairs to a great room past the water fountain room. We killed Fe'Dhar wyverns and these are a rare random drop off those wyverns. They are blue/white to a level 53 ranger. We got 2 in one night as well as skyfury and winter's fury swords.

I don't remember which wyvern they dropped off, but all the wyverns were blue to a 53 paladin.
