Do you have a preference on brand or organisms for pills?

I usually just get whatever is on sale with the most bacteria. They can get pretty pricey.

I am with mead on keeping the fresh biota inflowing.

I try to eat something probiotic every day. Not always a pill. But stuff they live on / are living on and digest.

Would do pills with money and more knowledge.

Wheat grass is a nice chaser or addition to a green smoothie.

Artichokes are a super food. Also the critters love all that extra fiber [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I think probiotics are a good thing. They say people on a high processed western diet have a lack of diversity with their stomach bacteria and its associated with all kinds of problems. There was some study where natives from Latin America lost most their stomach bacteria diversity over the course of a few decades and they all got obese after moving to America.

That being said it can make the whole digestive processes a bit more gassy and smelly (especially at first) in my experience. But I think a lot of that improves once your body adjusts.

Same thing with beans I noticed. Beans are great though once you adjust.

Believe it or not -- yes. Microbrews are considered a little better I think than the bland yellow mass produced stuff. But It'll still make you fat and obviously unhealthy with excess.

Ya. Trying to get people to change their diet and they think they are allergic or whatever...

Vicarious gains: My childhood friend Chris just got promoted to Senior Chief in the Navy! Enlisted rank 8/9.

“Advancement to senior chief petty officer is similar to that of chief petty officer. It carries requirements of time in service, superior evaluation scores, and peer review. In the Navy, it is the first promotion that is based entirely on proven leadership performance; test scores do not play a part. A chief petty officer can only advance to senior chief if a board of master chiefs approves, convened every year around March. Senior chief petty officers make up just 2.5% of the total enlisted force of the Navy and overall fall within the top 4% of the enlisted ranks.”

Him getting chief last year:

They are obese in Mexico too. I’ve been there. They eat tortillas and drink horchatas and cokes 24/7. Drones and A-10s at the border
