It's a fair statement.

Freedom of speech and the press allows for a lot of information to be spun or skewed a certain way, some outlets can be very biased, some less so.

If you are concerned about it, like Trump has made so many people the past few years, the correct response isn't to threaten the reporters and demonize the press as an institution. The correct response is to develop a filter, reserve judgement, and compare information.

Don't you think that the 'mainstream media' being the enemy of the people is a bit draconian? Especially when Fox is excluded from this list although it has some of the highest viewership in the US?

Be fair to yourself and at least balance out the information you receive with a fact-based reporting news source like a local newspaper, AP, Reuters, or ABC/NBC. It won't do you any harm as long as you're being responsible with how you filter the information.

No. It's dealing with home construction workers with racist opinions about the local reservation and African Americans where I find the utter gall to say that white people are afraid of natives. You can't quite call it propaganda when a coworker tells you they 'fucking hate indians'.
