People want to play P1999 for the play style (No teleporting books crap). NOT for the Poor DOS pixilated graphics.
Those "poor DOS pixilated graphics" are 100x better than the Luclin models though. The only one I even remotely liked were the trolls. The rest are ass.

For Real...
Like someone is not allowed to have a difference of opinion on graphics without a bunch of sweaty trolls jumping on him and mocking and jeering him, then beating him to death... Not even going to say what graphic models i prefer ill just Feign Death now and wait for the trolls to walk away from his dead corpse...oh wait...they are still beating his corpse! i think the code is is post Velious..better disable the comments section too. #p1999LivesMatter

Even though I prefer classic models I guess it really should be up to the individual playing if they want to use them or not. There really is no excuse to not allow them from a technical standpoint like you said, they don’t change gameplay at all and there are plenty of other features/nerfs that are not classic in the game. Someone said something about classic darkness, my gamma slider fixes that right quick. Outside an official response just ignore any excuse/reason any non p99 dev gives.

Sorry to see you go, maybe they will reconsider and allow them in the future.
