My phone was turned off when I sent the code, now I can't proceed any further.
I finally feel like I'm getting close to playing the game, however when I sent the code to verify my phone number just now, my phone was turned off, so I didn't get any text messages. Now it seems I can't continue or resend the code. Does anyone know how it takes for the code to "expire"?

What code? You don't need a cell phone to play this.

The phone number signup should only be an optional step for password recovery. It isnt required.

It's optional, however once you chose to opt into it and they send the SMS code to your phone, you can't go to the next step of the account creation (or whatever the process is called to play the game) until that step is completed. So I COULD have skipped it, but I chose to send the code to my phone in case I ever needed to recover my account, however my phone was off, so I didn't get the code. There is no option to "resend code" like a lot of sites have, and I can't skip this step any longer.

Is it possible to start the registration process over? Then opt in to the SMS after your account creation in case there's an issue.

It doesn't appear so. I tried to go back and just skip the SMS but it appears once you send the code you can't skip it. It says "missing variables". I suppose I can just make a new account though.
