Plane of Mischief for a Druid is also a possible way to get usage out of the trick. It does become harder to keep a pet while doing it, being able to Charm there is the nice perk Druids get, but it's possible I guess. Your group would just need to keep the pet rooted every time you gate out to go get mana back. Some extra work for them, but depending on the group, still would be better for productivity.

If you've got a big mana pool and aren't a wiz/dru/cler there is a gold for heals quest in Erudin. I guess it depends on your mana pool. Could be a good option for a shaman without Torpor.

Manastones are pretty worthless outside of a neat gimmick, druid port recharge and selling to suckers later on.

Outside of regaining mana instantly as much as you want it's pretty useless. I'll include the long list of all the items across every expansion that can do the exact same thing.

 

You're right, fashionquest is probably the reason Manastones are selling for 200k.

you can hire people in other countries to camp items in teams , its alot more affordable then you think
